Tony Bleau Sr, 60, of Great Barrington passed away Thursday September 26, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tony was born in Hudson, NY on November 20, 1963, son of Ronald Sr and Ofilia (Torres) Bleau. In his youth he attended local schools and played sports. Tony worked for 38 years at Butternut ski area eventually working his way up to the mountain manager position. He enjoyed being in the wind on his Harley, feeding the birds, going to the races with friends and cooking a great meal as well as considering himself a hot sauce “connoisseur”. Nothing made him happier than being with his family and being a loving and attentive father. Tony is survived by his son Tony “TJ” Jr, his daughter Tasha (Darran) and  four brothers Ronald Jr (Chris), Daniel (Martha), Don, Robert (Greg) and his sister Rebecca who he always kept in a special place in his heart. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and many close friends that he considered family. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his loving son, Mathew Bleau.

A Graveside service for Tony Bleau Sr. will be held on Thursday October 3 11:30 AM in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery in Housatonic with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday October 3 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA 01230. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to hospice and all who were involved in Tony’s care.

  2. Sorry to hear about your loss , my heart is saddened to hear about Tony. I recently lost my wife in April to cancer. I have a lot of memories from when we all were younger.Many good times and fun. I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.
