Obituary of Peter Harry Stolzar

Peter H. Stolzar, 76, of Great Barrington died Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Peter was born in New York, N.Y. on May 22, 1944 son of Davis and Marjorie (Morse) Stolzar. He grew up on Long Island and moved to the Great Barrington area where he has lived for the past several years. Peter attained his Law Degree from George Washington University Law School and worked as an attorney in New York City for many years. He was an active member of Hevreh of Southern Berkshire. Peter is survived by his son, Samuel Stolzar and his wife Tara, two brothers, Michael Stolzar and his wife Karen, and Andrew Stolzar and his wife Joan, as well as three grandchildren, Jackson, Easton and Leah. Peter was predeceased by his wife Joanna (Berg) Stolzar.

A graveside service for Peter Stolzar will be held on Sunday November 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Cedar Park and Beth El Cemetery in Paramus N.J. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.

    Tara and Sam, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. We have many fond memories of him from Castle Street.

    My condolences to the Stolzar family. I worked with Peter at Otterboug but ironically I did not know that he was in Great Barrington as I have had a second home since the 70’s

    My condolences to the Stolzar Family. We worked together at tterbourg but lost touch several years after I left. I was surprised to learn Peter was living in the in the Great Barrington area where I have had a second home since the seventies.
