Obituary of Paulette Dolores Graber

Paulette D. Graber, 76, of Sheffield died Friday, December, 27th 2024 at Geer Village in Canaan Connecticut with her daughter by her side. Paulette was born November 8, 1948, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, New York, the daughter of Francis T. Fetcinko and Pauline (Lenkiewicz) Fetcinko. Paulette grew up on a family farm with her four brothers Richard, Fran, Thomas and Patrick Fetcinko and sister Marlene. Paulette Graduated Maine Endwell Senior High School class of 1967. She was a beloved friend to all and held her friends and family close to her heart. Paulette ran away and married her beloved husband Ren Graber in 1969. She was a wonderful artisan; she spent much of her free time designing, stitching, drawing, painting and gardening. Paulette had a special place in her heart for all children, her home, family and community and dedicated her life to helping and teaching children of all ages. Paulette worked with children at the Southern Berkshire Regional School District and retired in 2016 after 35 years. Paulette was beautiful inside and out, kind, funny and fearless. Her life was a gift to so many.

 

Paulette is survived by her daughter Heather P. Graber of Sheffield Ma, and many many dear friends and family.

 

 A Memorial service will be held for Paulette Saturday, January 4th at the Old Parish Church in Sheffield MA 01257 at 1pm in the afternoon, a reception to follow will be held at the family home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Sheffield Library in care of Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.     I am sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was a wonderful person and friend. We had lots of good times through the years both at work at out. She has now become another bright light in the sky.

  6. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Paulette. She worked with me when I was a first-year teacher over a decade ago and was so supportive. She was always so kind and patient and had such a great sense of humor. I’m sorry for your loss.
