Obituary of Michael P. Keefner

Michael P. Keefner of Great Barrington passed at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 28th, 2024

Mike was born August 16th, 1953 in Great Barrington. He was a Military Police Officer in the US Army and was honorably discharged as a Sargent. He went on to be a mechanic and retired from B & D of Canaan Connecticut. He also worked occasionally as a carpenter with his father.

He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Jean Keefner, his sister, Kathy Keefner and a grandchild, Zachary.

His most beloved pastime was enjoying his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He also loved riding his motorcycle, tinkering with cars and fishing.

He leaves behind his wife, Sylvia and his 5 children: Michael Jr., Christopher, Eric, Shawn and Ebony along with grandchildren Miranda, Eric, Jason, Zoey, Christopher, Isaiah, Cameron, Ajanae, Savaughna and Zacarri. He also leaves behind 4 great grandchildren Alanna, Alora, Silos and Christopher Wyatt along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5th between 12 PM and 1 PM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA with a service to follow.
