Louise Helen Brazie, 82 of 2 Bernard Gibbons Drive Housatonic and formerly of Interlaken Rd Glendale died Thursday January 4, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1935 in Goshen CT, daughter of Benjamin L. and Lillian M. (Smith) Brazie. Louise was a graduate for the former Williams High School class of 1949. She worked at the former DeSisto School as a cook and counselor as well as running its honors program, tended bar at the former Stockbridge Inn and the Hideaway in West Stockbridge. She also worked as an inspector at Housatonic Curtains in Housatonic for six years before retiring on July 28, 2000. She was a member of the former Interlaken Congregational Church. Louise loved and cared for her horses for many years. Louise is survived by one son, Edward Bailey and wife Sharrod of Glendale, three daughters, Boodie Garrette of FL, Linda Bailey of New Mexico and Stephanie Bailey of Lee, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Louise was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

  1. LouiseLouiseLouise! You were a great lady, full of spark and tough and spunk. You could control your horses, control those DeSisto kids, as well as your crochet needle!
    You were a force of nature and I’ll miss you. I wish we could share mashed potatoes one more time…
