Kenneth “Kenny” Tier Krom III of 339 Polikoff Road, Ashely Falls, MA, died Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Bay State Medical Center, Springfield, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Great Barrington on November 7, 1997, son of Kenneth T. Jr, and Susan Olin Krom. He was a 2016 graduate of Mount Everett High School. He was scheduled to enter the nursing program at A.I C. this fall 2017. He worked as a cashier at the X-Mart, Canaan, CT. Kenny was a beloved son, brother, relative and friend. He was a very charismatic soul, always putting smiles on faces. He also was a loyal and caring friend, putting others before himself, he had a huge heart. He loved being outdoors, animals and basketball. His final caring and loving gift was that of an organ donor. Besides his parents, Kenny leaves his brother Jacob, and his two sisters, Kayla and Kelly, his grandparents, Dave and Linda Olin, and Dennis and Juanita Koonitsky, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Kenneth T. Krom Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service for Kenneth “Kenny” T. Krom III who died Wednesday April 12, will be held on Saturday April 15, at 12 noon, at the Greenwoods Community Church, 355 Clayton Road, Ashley Falls. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12 noon at the Greenwoods Community Church. Birches-Roy Funeral Home 33 South Street Great Barrington is entrusted with arrangements.   1. There are no words for the deep sorrow we feel for your family. Word came of your loss the day after out 12-month old grandson came out of heart surgery, and I cried tears for a lost life and a saved one. May you find strength in your faith and in knowing that so many are seeking a way to lessen your pain.

  2. Sue & Ken. I cannot fathom the depth of your grief or pain. Kenny was a great human, a credit to both of you. The world has no idea of its loss, especially in our little corner of it. It pains me that I cannot be there in your hour of sorrow to help console you. Know that you are in my prayers, and know that Kenny is with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, for all eternity. We will all meet again.

  3. As a neighbor, a friend, we watched Kenny, among other kids grow up, this is very heartbreaking.. We used to watch Kenny many times walk past our house bouncing a basketball…Every time we saw him, he had that basketball. I remember thinking, wow he is awesome. This break our hearts, what a wonderful young man..we are so sorry.. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family..

    So so sorry about the loss of this budding life. He will always be a friend of my our daughter Klay. She and April are devastated as many of theirs are.We last saw him in Feb at our house. Anything we can do please call us.
