Kathy Thomson

Kathy A. Thomson of Great Barrington died Thursday April 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Kathy was born in Great Barrington on December 14, 1960. She was a graduate of Mount Everett Regional High School class of 1978.  

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kathy loved spending time with her husband Charlie, and their dog Cooper on their yearly summer getaway; fishing on different lakes and ponds all throughout New England. She found peace and serenity on the water, always on the lookout for her favorite birds, the Eastern Blue Bird and North American Loon. Anyone who knew Kathy knew their heart was forever touched by her love and selflessness. For many years she worked as a Med-Tech in the Nursing Department at Berkshire Meadows providing care to those who could not care for themselves.  

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Charles Thomson of Great  Barrington, her two precious sons, Jamie Thomson of Plymouth and Brad Thomson of  Great Barrington, her daughter in law Katherine (partner Don), her two very special  grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew Thomson, her mother Lorraine and the late Daniel  Miller of Arkansas, her three brothers, Daniel Miller (wife Kyle), David Miller (wife  Karen) and Bruce Miller (wife Leila) and her sister, Kristy Miller (partner Michael).  Brother in law Bill Thomson (wife Melody) sister in law Sharon Flanagan (husband Gary). Kathy is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and very special friends.  

May the grace of God carry this angel to His eternal paradise. May her spirit be greeted with warmth and tenderness.  

In keeping with Kathy’s wishes there are no services. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Kathy’s memory can be made to Hospice Care in The Berkshires care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA 01230.
