Joan L. Pierro

PIERRO, Joan L. “Pat” (Eagan), 89, of Hartsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Loves of her life were her husband Joseph, her children James Pierro, Nancy Hannen, Joseph Pierro, Liza Pulsifer, Amy Carroll (predeceased) and her grandchildren Andrew Pierro, Emmett Pierro, Courtney Hannen, Lucas Hannen, Michael Pulsifer and Grace Pulsifer and her great-grandchild Kyle Hicks.  Pat was predeceased by her parents Eva Clara and William Eagan, her brother William Eagan, and her sisters Bernice Knoll and Rosemary Kemp.

Pat met her husband Joe at the Press Box diner in Pittsfield when he asked her to a local dance.  They were married September 5, 1953.  Known as an adventurer along with her best friend, Fran Chapman, they were always having new adventures and work experiences. From ski trips to beach outings, berry picking and ice skating, they did as much as time would allow. Pat was a full-time ski patrol at Bousquet, town Christmas tree decorator and Tanglewood first aid attendant. She loved her job at Country Curtains and her many friends there. She was a seamstress extraordinaire and was often admired wearing her beautiful creations. Her apple pies were the best around. In her later years, we would find her in the kitchen “potting around” as she called it or taking walks on country roads.
