Obituary of Gerald (Jerry) R. Kellogg

Gerald (Jerry) R. Kellogg passed away July 10, 2024 at his home in Barefoot Bay, FL after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born in 1947 in Canaan, CT, son of the late Norman and Rena Kellogg. He was raised in Great Barrington, MA, and graduated in 1965 from the former Searles High School. He was a Marine Corp veteran serving in Vietnam. Jerry had 30 years of service with the phone company, beginning with NE Telephone and retiring from Verizon.

He leaves his wife Dona (Wheeler) Kellogg; sons Michael Kellogg and J.R. Kellogg; brother Joe Kellogg (partner Kristin) sisters Diane Rose, Connie (Gary) Broggi and Carol (Warren) Robertson; two step-children Karena Gardino and Patrick Nilson and granddaughter Madison Gardino.

Funeral Notice: graveside service for Jerry will be Saturday July 20 at 1:00 PM and will be held at Townhouse Hill Cemetery in Egremont, MA. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.

  2. I remember the next door battles The Pink Flamingo’s to the ice fishing in the swimming pool. Jerry was an awesome neighbor and friend.Good times sitting on the deck with Jerry and Donna.We called him the warden of north street.

    Please know of my sincere condolences at the death of Gerry Kellogg. He fought the good fight. While I cannot be with you this weekend, I will celebrate tonight’s 6:15PM Mass at Newman University Church in Dublin, Ireland for his repose and for the comfort of all who mourn his passing.
