Obituary of Frank W. “Flannagan” Gorham Jr.

Frank W. “Flannagan” Gorham Jr., 88 of Great Barrington died Wednesday September 6, 2017  after a brief illness.  He was born on May 24, 1929 in Great Barrington, son of Frank W. Sr. and Elsie (Zaske) Gorham. Frank was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. After high school Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Epperson. Frank worked for 37 years as a mail carrier for the USPS retiring in 1989. Frank is survived by his wife Marlene (Owens) Gorham of Great Barrington whom he married on July 10, 1965 at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, son, Raymond Gorham and wife Elaine of Middlefield MA, daughter, Ann Marie Gorham and husband  Asher Pucciarello of Westminister West VT, sister, Hazel Wool of Housatonic, five grandchildren, Finnegan Pucciarello, Oona Pucciarello, Esme’ Pucciarello, Camille Gorham and Calvin Gorham and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by sister, Marion Gorham and brother, William E. Gorham.

 

In keeping with Frank’s wishes all services are private and there are no calling hours. Services entrusted to BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Frank’s memory may be made to either SBVAS or Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
