Elizabeth A. “Betty Ann” Hitchcock, 77 of Sheffield died Sunday December 16, 2018 at her daughter’s home with her loving family by her side. Betty Ann was born on September 23, 1941 in Egremont, daughter of William B. and Louise M. (Morandi) Snyder Ball. She graduated from Mount Everett Regional High School. Her husband Francis J. Hitchcock Jr. better known as “Hitchie” predeceased her on August 7, 2009. Betty Ann enjoyed going out to dinner with family and good friends, taking trips to the casino, attending plays, picnics and spending time with her family. Betty Ann is survived by two daughters, Susan Crane and husband Gary and Lisa Gomez and husband Greg, her siblings, Shirley Roots (Jim), Lorraine Love (Frank), Nanci Peck (Bob), David Snyder (Rosemary), James Snyder (Bev), John Snyder (Barb), Larry Ball, Jane Eichstedt (Bruce), Lil Hankey (Paul) and Ann McDermott, grandchildren, loves of her life, her boys, Tommy Clark, Nick (Lilly) and Alex Crane, loving caregiver, Anita, beloved family, Meghan, Alan, Molly, Emily and Gavin Ziegler, her loving neighbors, David and Kara Quenneville, cousin Donna Mallory whom she would spend time with here and in Florida and brother in law, Tom Hitchcock. In addition to her husband Hitchie, Betty Ann was predeceased by brother William Snyder.

In Keeping with Betty Ann’s wishes there are no services. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Betty Ann’s memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South Street Great Barrington MA 01230.   5. I was so sorry when Grandma told me about Betty Ann. I’m also sorry it took me so long to reach out. Tarah and I were talking about how we remember that Betty Ann used to give us checks for every birthday as kids. I’m also so happy I got to attend some of the ever famous bagel place lunches with Betty Ann. It is also a very special memory that Betty Ann was part of Tarah’s wedding celebration at Grandma Warner’s and our family all got to be together. I’m so thankful for these memories. Love always.
