Hay honey bunny I can’t even begin to tell you how much I miss you. What can I say about a man that was not only my uncle but my best friend and second dad, I can say that you was an amazing man, you never saw the cup half empty it was always full for you, even when we both knew it was as dry as the Sahara Desert. I will alway remember what you taught me and I will pass that on to my kids and they will pass it on to theirs, so you see you will always be with us even though your not with us. I love you honey now and forever. Rest in Peace my angel, until the day we meet again. Love always Kissy, Ben-lo, Cy’an and Azlan

Eddie, my dancing and domino partner. You bought joy and laughter to me in a short period of time, and I thank you for that. I also admired your courage and decision you made concerning your health. God finished your room in HIS mansion and called you home to be with HIM. Rest In Peace, my friend. From Vickie C

Hey Uncle Eddie,
You truly don’t know how I’m missing you so much, but I know you are protecting me from heaven. I’m going to miss our phone calls so much when I call you for help or advice. You always tell me “Don’t worry about that person, they are loser.” I’m going to miss my shopping buddy, and how crazy we will be laughing and joking around while shopping. I remember that day the painting you gave me that’s in my house right now, how we had to put it on top of my little car and had to hold on the painting while driving. We did some crazy things together. How you will tell me “You are my favorite” and the biggest smile it will put on my face. I was glad I was able to see you in person before it was your time and how we spoke on the phone on the last day as well. I will never forget on my graduation you was jumping up and down because, you was so proud of me getting my degree. You was smiling ear to ear because, I made it and you so proud. I know you, Abulea, and Titi are sitting up there cooking rice and beans while dancing around. I will always love you and you will be in my heart forever. You are my favorite uncle and will always be that. Take care Uncle Eddie and I love you. And, yes I know I’m your favorite niece. Until we meet again xoxoxo

To my dear beloved brother,
There is not one day that goes by that I don’t think about you and how much I miss you. There have been a lot of times that I want to pick up the phone and dial your number just to hear your voice and talk to you. But them I, realized you are not going to answer. I thank God each and everyday for such an amazing, caring and unique brother. You was and will always be an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
I, remember the first time you took me to a club it was the best time of my life. I was so excited because it was with you, my big brother and we had such a great time. Eddie, I thank God for each and every moment he allowed us to spend together. You always told me thank you for being here with me, you are my baby sister, and I love you so much don’t ever forget that.
I enjoy our last conversation so much and not knowing it was going to be our last one and the last time we told each other “I love you,” right before you went to sleep. You will always be in my heart but I, know you are with mom, dad, and Maria looking after me and the family. Eddie thank you for choosing me and allowing me to spend all that time with you.
I missed you and love you always. RIP my brother.
Love you always your baby sister Nelly

I just found out that Eddie had passed away and gone with the Lord. As a teenager, I remember the numerous times we spent our summer vacations talking, playing, and basically hanging out as always. Eddie was always different from the rest of the neighborhood kids because he was always willing to say something funny to make us all have a laugh. Today I have to say that he was a good friend, and that most importantly, he was family. This is a sad day for me because I have lost a beloved brother that I have always missed. I have a family now and live here in the island of Puerto Rico with my family and when I tell them stories about my childhood, I always tell them that I loved his brother Efrain, I loved Nelida, Santito and his mother Carmen. It hurts me to say goodbye “hermanito del alma”. I will never forget the person you were. Yes, the loud, the funny and happy boy that you were, will always live here in my heart. I miss you very much and I know that you are now with my second Mother “Carmen” comforted in her love. “Dios te bendiga mi amor”.
Descansa en paz hermanito del alma…
Your brother,
N. Patiño Montserrat
