Deborah “Debbie” A. Ball, 66 of Great Barrington passed away peacefully on Monday November 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was born in Great Barrington on May 1, 1956 daughter of Francis X. and Mary (Spadaccini) Mackoul. She was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School class of 1974. Debbie worked for Great Barrington Fire Dept., Great Barrington Police Dept., the Great Barrington Fire District, Montgomery Wards and as Assistant Tax Collector for the Town of Great Barrington for thirty seven years. Debbie is survived by her husband, Michael Ball, two daughters, Megan Soules and husband Jon and Shurika Kikuchi, one brother, Gary Mackoul, two nephews, Dylan and Kevin Mackoul, the Spadaccini family and her grandson, Jackson.

Funeral Services for Deborah “Debbie” A. Ball will be held on Saturday November 26 at 10:00 AM with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday November 26 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Infusion Center at Tor Court in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be made through

  8. My sincere condolences to Mike and the family. I loved Debbie, she was always so kind to me, gave me the moniker “Big Cheese” which I just loved. I take comfort knowing Debbie and Joan are together now, laughing and having a great time.
