Daniel Williams Sr. ( Dano, daddio, Pappy) 60, of Hamden CT passed away peacefully on Friday October 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born on August 5, 1957 in Parlin, NJ, son of the late Edward Sr. and Mary Ann (Tortorello) Williams. Danny worked in the automotive industry all his life and was a General Manager and Consultant for Berkshire GMC in Sheffield. Danny was a former President of Pop Warner Football; he enjoyed motorcycle rides on his Harley, and his flying lessons as he was working towards a pilot license. You could always find him listening to the Oldies, hanging with his dog and buddy Jake, taking care of his pet cows Mickey and Molly, and most of all spending time with his family who he loved so much. Danny is survived by his beloved wife Karen, his mother Mary Ann, his brothers Edward Jr. (Mary) and Joseph (Patrice), his children, Melissa (Scott), Danny Jr. (Hannah), Heather (Michael)l, Dena (Douglas), his step children Ashley (Robert), and Tricia (Erik), his grandchildren, Daniel III, Emma, Brodie, Ethan, Natalie, Audrina, Brea and Aubree as well as numerous family and friends. Danny was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph and Catherine Tortorello, his father, Edward Williams Sr. and his great aunt, Jean Vigliotti. Danny was vibrant and full of life. He touched every person that came in contact with and saw the best in each and every one of us. He was a dreamer and an optimist. His positive outlook on life persisted through even the hardest of days. He was hardworking, loyal and a true family man. His smile was infectious and he inspired all of us simply by the way he lived his life. He will be greatly missed. We can rest assured that he is at peace and no longer suffering. Rest in Peace. Danny, we know you will be watching over all of us.Â

  4. My deepest sympathy to the Williams family. I have known Danny and his family for 33 years and he was such a vital role in my sons young days of Pop Warner football along with his brother Ed. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and will always treasure the fond memories from our younger days. They truly were the best years of my life that is for sure and it was for folks such as Danny his brother Ed and his wife Mary. Our kids all grew up together and they were truly the good ole days!!! My prayers and thoughts for all of you.

    Love, Paula Abbato
