Andrea Louise Eichstedt, 68, of Sheffield passed away on Sunday January 31, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Andrea was born on April 23, 1952 in Great Barrington, daughter of Leon Eichstedt and Marilyn (Kilburn) Phillips. She was a graduate of Mt. Everett High School class of 1970. Also was a licensed hairdresser. Andrea owned and operated many stores for many years. Andrea was a world renowned Ballerina and she also was a black belt in mixed martial arts. Andrea is survived by her life partner of thirty plus years, Brian DeLand of Sheffield, one son, Thomas Eichstedt and wife Teresa of Mill River, two brothers, Leon “Butch” Eichstedt Jr. of Pittsfield and Bruce Eichstedt of Sheffield, two sisters, Norreen Johnson of CA and Deidre Scapin of Mill River, 10 grandchildren, Patrick, Brandon, Chelsea, Krista, Dasan, Anthony, Aiyana, Teyha, Natanni and Scarlett and two great granddaughters, Isabella and Lorelei. And a lot of nieces and nephews. Andrea was predeceased by her grandparents, Dutch and Emeline Eichstedt.

The family of Andrea Louise Eichstedt will receive friends on Tuesday February 9th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St. Great Barrington MA 01230. Masks and social distancing protocols are required and must be followed. Condolences may be made through

  1. I was saddened to learn of Andrea’s passing. We were classmates in high school a long time ago. She always had a smile and a good word and she laughed easily. I extend my sincere condolences to Brian Deland and Andrea’s entire family. Rest In Peace my friend.

  5. Brian and Eichstedt family, I’m saddened by this news, and cannot help but have memories of us growing up together in the Lime Kiln, and throughout school until graduating together in 1970.
