Adelard Joseph Lagace’ of Southfield, Massachusetts, beloved husband of Cynthia Dyer Lagace’ passed away peacefully Sunday September 21, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Adelard was born in St. Ann’s New Brunswick Canada on December 4, 1942, son of Constant F. and Helene (D’Amboise) Lagace’. He was predeceased by his father Constant Lagace’ and his brother Robert Lagace’. Adelard is also predeceased by father and mother-in-law Stanley and Carrie Dyer and two brothers-in-law David Dyer and Dickie Dyer all of Crosshill ME. Adelard was a 1961 graduate of E.C Goodwin Technical School in New Britain CT and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After working for 27 years at New Departure Hyatt in Bristol CT he retired in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his comrades at the VFW in Colebrook. One of his favorite past times was to gather with friends and family to sing and play guitar. Survivors include his mother Helene, his brothers Zoel and wife Judy Lagace’ of Torrance CA, Edward Lagace’ of Farmington, sisters Gladys Lagace’ of Bristol, Gloria and Chris Scotti of Berlin and three daughters Nichole, Sarah and Alyssa, and niece Jamie Lynn Allaire of Littleton NH. He is also survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws Luke and Kathleen Lagace’, Link and Debbie Lagace’ of Bristol, a daughter Lee Marie Lagace’ of Southfield MA, brother and sister-in-law Dick and Norma Vontell, niece Maureen (Vontell) Finaldi and nephew Richie Vontell, grandchildren Christine Rocco, Katy Rocco, Link Lagace’ Jr., Kiana Lagace’, Lex Lagace’ and Layne Gabriel Cook, a great grandchild Edis Fioravanti and many grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
